These three short compositions come from different places in my life. The first (Nee) is a movement from the first piece I composed on paper. The title of the larger composition was Motor Dance that was commissioned by Boston choreographer Becky Arnold in 1975. The second Incidental is a three part invention I composed in 1987 while studying 18th century counterpoint as part of my Master of Music degree from New England Conservatory. The third Incidental is entitled Ringlets and is a kind of country dance trio. I was very involved with Country Revels in Vermont led by Carol Langstaff at the time (1994) and the music reflects the experience.
