'God of strength, God of glory, in your presence we find peace and love. Grant that we have the wisdom and patience to help others find their way to you. Do not let our idiosyncrasies drive others away, but let the light of your power shine through us so that people are blind to our humanness and attracted to your divine nature. Not us, O Lord, but you. Now and forever. Amen',
'People come for counsel and the only thing of value we can give them is prayer and the encouragement to turn towards you, Lord God. Time, order and future are all in your hands. We can do nothing without knowing that we need your strength and guidance. Our words are empty and vain without your inspiration. Thank you Lord for your presence within us. Amen',
'Author of Life, what have you inscribed upon our heart? Help us, Lord, to recognize our unique task – the one that only we can do for you. Help us to recognize and encourage the gifts of others also so that they can be personally fulfilled while making your family more complete. All for your glory in the name of Jesus. Amen',
'O God, do not let the tremors of this life dissuade our passion for leading others into the light of your love. Help us to keep the detractors in perspective – to pray for your peace and forgiveness to be in their hearts, to not allow their anger and disappointment to infect the beautiful movement of your Holy Spirit in our midst. God of peace and reconciliation, touch our heart so that we will not get lost in the pain of arrows thrown – and let us return your love in the face of anger. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'In the presence of Almighty God we have no cause to fear. All of the troubles within our heart will vanish as the power of the Holy Spirit lifts our spirit and provides strength to our human frailty. The God who created and continues to create all things stands forever beside us ready to guide our steps away from the dangers and temptations of the world and into the peace, love and unity of His Kingdom. Our world and His Kingdom need not be separated by time. We can know God at every moment just as He knows us in every instant. Help us, Lord, to reach out and take the hand you offer. Let us walk closely with you today so that others may also have a very real sense of your presence. You alone are Holy, Mighty One, so allow us to linger in your Holiness until we attain a unity with you – here, now and forevermore in Christ. Amen',
'A servant? Does that honor apply to us? But we are so weak, Lord Jesus. We are so easily distracted and so easily given over to our own self-interest. We need your constant help and guidance to tame our thoughts and desires that are so often focused on earthy things. Help us, O God, to be your servant. Amen',
'Only in you, dear Lord, do we find real peace and courage to face each new day. Help us to turn to you always in the name of Jesus. Amen',
'The church, thankfully, does not rise and fall according to the virtue of humans nor the folly of their ways. Rather, it is the grace and will of God that sustains the church despite the cracked vessels God chooses to lead her. By faith we must continue trusting that God has chosen wisely and will prevail in His purpose through the sometimes brilliant and sometimes dim light of human endeavor. Amen',
'Why, O God, does our heart still sometimes ache with resentment? Why, O Lord, do we still feel the pain of jealousy? What is it that we are failing to fully grasp that would set us free of these treacheries? Help us, merciful God, to turn the corner toward wholeness in you where we can trust fully in the way you have made for us. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'You know better than we the desires of our heart, dear Lord, and we ask you to make them pleasing to you. We ask that you put within us the strength, courage and wisdom to bring others into the Kingdom of your love. Guide us, precious Lord, to do justice, love kindness and walk humbly by your side. Let this be the desire that governs our action, influences our speech and motivates our service for you to humankind. Amen',
'You reign beyond the thoughts of human endeavor, O God. With an open heart and willing soul we can glimpse your magnificence, but not until death will we know your purpose. You are clothed in majesty and bathed in light. Let us come to you as a humble child to seek your loving embrace. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen',
'It is not just discipline that will train the soul to endure, but also the presence of your Almighty Power. Our reading and fasting and prayer are empty of all worth unless we ask, seek and knock on the door of your Kingdom. The paradox is that without discipline we do not ask, seek and knock nearly often enough to gain benefit from your grace. Lord, help us to persevere in Spiritual discipline, not to win a race against others, but to defeat the dark and lazy inclinations of our human self. With your blessed assurance, let us finish this day renewed by your love in the work you lead us to do for you. In the blessed name of Jesus. Amen',
'It is only by your power, by your Holy Spirit, and through your Son, Jesus Christ, and by your grace that we can do anything at all to keep ourself from thinking or doing evil. We see that you have lifted us from the pit of addiction to serve others as a shepherd for our Lord Jesus as a testament to your infinite power and love. Please, O God, help us to keep our eyes and our heart focused on your will. Help us to share your Divine will with others who, like us, so easily get lost in the world of mindless and godless temptations. In the name of our blessed Savior. Amen',
'What is the thorn we bear in the flesh other than the flesh itself? It is that we are separated by flesh from God; a barrier denying our perfect unity with God’s Kingdom. The flesh with its inherent selfishness and pleasure seeking, rife with appetites that have no satisfaction; appetites that create a perpetual desire for more of itself. The desire of the Holy Spirit (unity with God) is continually supplanted by the confused mind. The flesh is unable to comprehend the Holy Spirit with the worldly conformed mind. Nor can we correctly perceive God with the scientific methodology touted and hailed by the “Endarkenment” founded by Locke and others. Instead of feeding the spirit the food it craves – the love of God, service to others, unity, peace, selflessness – we attempt to placate the hunger of our flesh with distractions, denials and a plethora of physical pleasures totally meaningless to our spirit. With your help, O God, we can change. our thorn is also that we cannot change soon enough and thus we find ourself frequently in a dark valley, ashamed, discontent and hungering for the Holy Spirit. Yet with the beacon of God’s love and forgiveness, we still have hope and promise. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Lord, help us to be productive in your work today. With your love shining through us, Blessed Lord, let us learn how to follow you. In the name of our Blessed Lord Jesus. Amen',
'The life of a simple Christian, or the simple life of a Christian. Both are a blessed life of faith. Keeping focus on the immediate task of loving and forgiving, seeking to reflect the peace of Christ we have received by God’s grace. Leaving the imponderable things to be revealed by God in His time, grant us simplicity of heart with a calm mind and a faithful soul, O God. In the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen',
'Father of all creation, fill our heart today with the splendor of your life, light and love. Let no darkness remain in the heart of your faithful servant, but let the strength of your Being embolden action for justice and give rise to the prophetic word. Let prophecy ring out for the unity and love you desire for all of your children. Let us not heed the false prophet, Blessed Lord, who calls us out for his own vainglory. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'The compassion that comes seemingly of its own accord as we enter into servant ministry is surprisingly painful and leads most naturally to a deeper dependence upon the Holy Spirit. Entering into prayer and walking with people through the peaks and valleys of their life softens our heart and awakens our tender soul. The tears and laughter of others become integral components of our emotional state. We cannot be effective in ministry without this deep compassion, and we cannot carry this deep compassion without the love, strength and sustaining power of Jesus Christ. Thanks be to God. Amen',
'Help us to live each hour in the presence of the Holy Spirit so that others may live together in unity. Help us to shepherd your people in the name of Christ. Amen',
'O God, help us to focus on the recognition of ourself in the work that you are doing through us. Help us to direct all attention in our heart to the wondrous works of your hand. Lord, we earnestly seek to know you even in the weakness of our flesh and the pride of our ego. By your grace and forgiveness we still have opportunity to be your servant and messenger. Though we are a cracked vessel, you continue to work your Holy Spirit within us. We are so grateful and earnestly seeking to be humble. In the name of and glory of Jesus Christ. Amen',
'O God, we ask that you bless our journey and soften our judgmental mind so that our days can be filled with more laughter and forgiveness. Help us to know that your call to us is an invitation into a deeper relationship of Spirit. Let anger fall away. And when we fail, Lord, please forgive us, and help us to move closer to the unity and love of your Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Bring stillness into our heart, God of Peace, so that we may know of your restful love and warm embrace. Release us from our fears and anxieties resulting from relying on our own mind and power rather than the presence of your Holy Spirit within us. Turn our heart away from the desires of our flesh and ego so that we can hunger and thirst more fully to do your will and invite others into the fullness of your heavenly Kingdom. It is your unity and peace that we long for, O Lord, - a fearless life made whole by your unfailing grace. In the name of our Blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen',
'Let all of our thoughts and labors be for you, Master and Creator. Wherever we journey and whatever we speak, let your love and invitation be seen and heard. Make our presence and voice a reflection of your infinite grace. By your mercy and by the strength of your Holy Spirit, let us be your servant, O God, even though we still bear the sins of being human. Let it be, dear Lord, let it be. Amen',
'To stand in the presence of your love, O God, is an unspeakable delight. To feel the peace of Christ in the depth of our soul is a pleasure we cannot begin to comprehend with our mind nor utter with our tongue. O Lord we pray that the deep longings of our heart become the reality of our days so that others might see even a vague reflection of the vastness of you. Thank you for every revelation you have provided to give us hope and strength, and for each hour we have to move closer to your infinite love through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen',
'Perseverance; to remain faithful to the calling of God and resting assured of His love and presence. It is not the strenuous muscling of self-determination, but the peaceful strength of God’s power that motivates our heart to remain focused on His Kingdom. When the light of the heavenly realm remains fixed within our mind, the path is straight and the journey full of opportunities to draw closer to God’s will. Thanks be to God for His example in our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen',
'In faith, in need of faith, we face the world inside of us that sometimes is more frightful than all of the wars and hatred that barrage the peace of our external world. The “slings and arrows” that are shot between conflicting desires in our heart inflict deeper wounds than the bullets and words tossed around in the world of physical abuse. Aye, it is in the war of spirit and emotion within ourself that we must first seek our Lord Jesus. Without His presence, we can never hope to have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, generosity, perseverance, and self-control – the gifts of the Spirit. We need you, Lord, oh how we need you. Amen',
'Help us, O God, to be the right size. Not larger nor smaller than you have made us. Bring to maturity the fruit of your Holy Spirit and gifts and talents and skills that you have given us so that we can be your servant and glorify your Holy name. In the name of Christ Jesus. Amen',
'There is no wholeness, no holiness, apart from you, O God. When we turn our thoughts in foolishness away from the light of you, the darkness and abyss of nothingness consumes us. Thank you, Lord, for continuing to seek us and to call our name while we wander in the realm of human self-satisfaction. By your constant love and prevenient grace we can still hear your voice and find our way back into something far greater than ourself – the unity of your Kingdom in the power of your Holy Spirit. All glory and honor is yours, Almighty God, now and forever. Amen',
'We get distracted so easily by so many things; possessions, hobbies, people, a desire to be important. We need you, O God, to help us remain focused on the purpose you have given us – to spread the Good News about your love and presence in the world through Jesus Christ. By your grace, Lord, let it be. Amen',
'Is each star a wilderness? Some distant and foreign place to which God invites our imagination? Some desolation, perhaps, where in utter loneliness and despair we will finally recognize the strength of faith, that inner being, that God shares with all of His children – that Divine piece of Himself within us given to serve as a light in the dark places of the wilderness. When the “things” of our life have all been taken away by circumstance and we must embark on a new journey, let it begin with a searching in our heart for the distant star God intends to use as a light in the darkness – the beacon of hope in the wilderness. The star, inviting the thrill and magic of our imagination to overcome the despair of doubt and fear. Come, Holy Spirit, as our strength, our guide, our hope, and our star. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'There is nothing that can proceed from the tongue of humankind to express the true magnificence of you, Almighty God. And yet, in the simplicity of pure love in prayer we may begin to comprehend your glory. By this then, we withdraw from the edge of destruction to come back to the fine art of touching hearts. Amen',
'Release your Holy Spirit within us so that we may reflect in a more powerful way the glorious love and unity that you desire for all of your creation. Let it begin with us, O Lord. Let us be led by your will to speak and act as your truest disciple not for our own elevation, but so that others may see your glory and want the same peace and joy that only you can give. We pray that our prayers for others give them the comfort of your presence by the power of your Holy Spirit, not by our choice of words. All glory and honor is yours, Almighty God, now and forever. Amen',
'What an interesting life, this ministry, that touches and engages so many people on so many levels in a single day. Hospital visitations, discussions of sacramental theology and immortality, listening to the concerns about being a teenager growing up fast in a troubled life, questions about baptism, and offering prayers of support while a loved one faces hospitalization away from home. This is a full life you have blessed us with, Heavenly Father, and we pray that we are sharing your love in all of it. Amen',
'The yoke of ministry is not a symbol of authority, but a reminder of humility. To serve God is to walk among people as a reminder that God is in the world, that obedience is possible and, indeed, even desirable. “Ministry is Jesus Christ expressing his life through us,” James Fenhagen wrote. Carrying the cross, bearing the signs of tradition, expressing love, gratitude and praise for God. If there is shame, we bear it gladly. If there is loneliness, we experience it in the company of Jesus. The yoke reminds us of our vow and covenant with God to be a servant – often giving pause before speaking to provide an opportunity for God’s wisdom and the peace of Christ to precede anything we may want to say. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for being ahead, around, behind, and beside everything we think, say, and do. Amen',
'We are feeling constantly exhausted and drained and numb. We need your help for physical strength today, Lord. Help us to be fully alive in your Holy Spirit and to celebrate life by doing ministry in the world. Touch us, O God, our God, our strength and our Redeemer. In the name of Christ Jesus. Amen',
'Such a unity cannot be even imagined. Identity without separation; love without desire; stillness without complacency. All in you, O God. The very essence of love – to be a river that flows abundantly, giving life, its source and destination found in this unimaginable unity – the One and Almighty God. Let the river flow, O God, and help us to invite all people into the Living Water. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'There is no place to be that can bring peace to the soul except in the heart of God. Not the church, not the hills of Vermont, not even the monastery. Nothing but the heart of God, the essence of love, can restore the original blessing of creation. Help us, O God, to pursue your essence with all of our being – not for ourself only, but so that we might be able to give others a small glimpse of your vast grace. Unless we have love, we are but a clanging gong. You are love, Lord. Let us have you in our soul. Amen',
'Only by faith can we journey to the heart of God. The road is steep, winding and at times dark and treacherous. Barricades and pitfalls are sure to be found along the path to the Kingdom. But Jesus beckoned Peter to get out of the boat and walk upon the water. He also calls us to step out of our safe places and move closer to him. Lift our eyes toward you, Lord, so that we will not look down and become afraid. Amen',
'Thomas a Kempis writes, Give us water of inward devotion to moisten the dryness of our soul. This phrase so aptly expresses the desire of our heart. To be drenched in the water of devotion, the water of baptism, the water of Divine Love so that we may hunger and thirst no more. To have an inward compulsion to live in and by the Word of God so all-consuming, so complete, so thorough as to consume all doubt and fear and temptation. This would do more than moisten our soul. This would transform our life and give meaning even to the darkness that seeks to separate us from your love, Blessed Lord. In your presence through constant devotion we know that we would never thirst again. Let it be, dear Lord, let it be. Amen',
'Faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, kindness, and love. In the second Epistle of Peter, these are the additive ingredients to discipleship – the elements to nourish the soul to produce good fruit of the Spirit. How daunting a recipe that begins with faith – a quality achieved and maintained (alas, not achieved, but given) by the grace of God. And so we must preface our servant journey with God’s grace and our own desire to be open to receive. Help us, O God, to be so open as to be able to receive your grace. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Just as you sent an angel to release Peter from prison, Merciful God, so you have sent guardians to release us from the prison of our addictions. There was no power of our own that could have overcome the bondage of the addictions that had imprisoned our soul, blinded our sight and deadened all compassion in our heart. But by your grace and because of your steadfast love you lifted us – Love Lifted us – and our gratitude cannot be stated in words. Only our service to others can repay your loving kindness. Only as we help others to experience the depth of your love can we show our love for you, Precious Lord. We pray that we remain attentive to your generous grace as you sustain our desire to bring others into your life-giving light. In the name of Jesus, Lord and Savior, the very presence of Emmanuel, God with us. Amen',
'We are mindful of how many people confess to us that they only pray when they find themselves challenged by the hardships of life in this world. While things go well, they confess they do not take time to give thanks, nor to pray for others who may not be having such a bright day. Perhaps a more earnest prayer would be for a hunger and thirst for your loving presence in those who are comfortable and blessed today. To pray for those have need of strength and comfort, and for those who think they have no need at all. Lord, help us to remind others and ourself of the constant need to seek you in the sunshine, and in the storms of life. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Birds naturally want to fly. Beavers naturally want to build dams in ponds and streams. And we naturally desire to understand the cause and purpose of life and creation. We want to know You.. Help us, O God, to follow the natural inclination of our essential being – to seek you in all that we think, say and do. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'By your grace and loving kindness, O God, we have come to be in this place of beauty. Listening to the sounds of morning, we are aware of your presence in all things. Each creation with a unique voice and splendor, and each purpose a perfect contribution to your Divine plan. Let us speak and fulfill our perfect contribution to your plan, Blessed Lord. Grant that we can sing your praise while dancing our own unique dance and working our own unique work given according to your wisdom and abundance. Help us to encourage each voice and find pleasure in each dance. Allow us to help you create a great ballet of life in your love. In the name of Jesus, the Living Christ. Amen',
'In the depth of our heart we praise you and give you thanks, Blessed Lord. In the simple actions and words of this day, we pray that your presence be made known to people we meet. We pray that we find delight in all of the pictures of your creation that you give us today, and we pray that your Holy Spirit flows throughout these hours. In the name of Jesus, the living and sustaining Christ. Amen',
'O Lord, help us to know and be in our rightful place, not to glorify ourself, but to do the work that you have given with the gifts you provide. You have fed us, and sustained us; you have healed us and renewed our soul. Our heart is full of gratitude and we sing every day about our love for you. Let us serve you today, Almighty God, as best we can so that others can receive even more than you have given us. This we ask in the name of Jesus, your own true self who came to show us how to love. Amen',
'That we could fathom even a small portion of your awesome love and greatness, Heavenly Creator, would satisfy our deepest hunger and fill our soul with exceeding delight. That we could stand for just a fleeting moment in your presence with all of the saints and angels who attend to the will of your loving kindness would change our heart forever and strengthen us to serve you more fully in this world of deception and illusion. That we could seek the hand of Jesus during each moment of this day would insure that we would be moving closer to you, Heavenly Father, and helping others to do the same. With all of our heart, we ask that it would be so, our God and our Salvation. Amen',
'When we think of James and John (the sons of Zebedee), we wonder what it is they saw in Jesus that day when he called them and they left their home, their work, and their community to enter into a life of uncertain itinerancy. What light shone in their heart? What flame of the Holy Spirit burned within them to kindle such faith and courage? we ask ourself, “Do we see Jesus as they saw him?” Does the flame of the Holy Spirit consume our doubts and fears enabling us to walk boldly into the wilderness with our God and our King? are we certain that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, will strengthen and comfort us each day throughout eternity no matter where the journey may take us? Grant that we may have this vision of you, Sustaining Love, in faith and in truth. Amen',
'In this world there is such suffering and desperate loneliness – so many places that need the light of your love, O God. Strengthen and guide us to be your hands, your feet, your eyes, your voice, and your body to do good and share your hope and promise. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'While we feast today at your table, Lord, let our heart also be joined with your children all over the world. We pray that your Holy Spirit touches our life deeply and transforms our heart. Let your love abound in us and give us your rich Spiritual food for the hunger and thirst that has stricken us. Fill our heart with compassion and wisdom so that your Word and the Work you perform within us can make the church strong. This we pray in the name of Jesus, our Lord and our Savior, and our friend. Amen',
'The bread of life, the soul of our soul, none other than the Source of life itself. This is the Jesus we know. The Jesus who is none other than Emmanuel, God with us, the immanence of Almighty God. That we could be full at all times with His Spirit and love – this is our prayer – not only for ourself, but so that others may come to know of His glorious Being now and forever. Amen',
'While we still struggle in the imperfections of human life, we find strength and hope in the power of the Holy Spirit and in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In your grace and mercy, O God, sustain us and turn our heart and mind always toward what is good and right in your eyes. You are our rock and our redeemer. Amen',
'Who can fathom your greatness, Magnificent One? The result of all of our thinking and imagining falls far short of the reality of your infinitude and the vastness of your being. It is not within our power or imagination to even approximate your eternal nature or comprehend the purity and strength of your love. By your presence in Jesus Christ and your constant assurance in the Holy Spirit we are able to glimpse your grace and majesty, and to experience the power and generosity of your abundance. Let us always hear your voice in the soul of our soul, Most Holy One, and help us to heed your call to serve you in the heart of our heart. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'In the depth of our soul and in the water of our baptism, there lies a peace that surpasses all understanding. There lives a strength that can move mountains without even the slightest effort of self-will. The tumult on the surface of life cannot disturb the tranquility of that inner peace that sings with the calm voice of God’s love. When Jesus calmed the storm on the Sea of Galilee, he called the power that moves the water and creates the storm to restore peace. He restored faith in the face of fear. We pray that this Jesus be with us today to calm the storms in our life and remove all fear. Amen',
'The words of Jesus are so frightening sometimes (see Matthew 23). They resonate deeply in the soul of our soul and give us pause and discomfort. We turn his warnings to the Pharisees inward upon ourself and examine the motivations of our heart. Have we answered a call of pride and pretense? Or have we responded to the urging of the Holy Spirit? Please, Heavenly Father, keep our path clear of hypocrisy and selfish gain. Help us to always keep in our heart the truth of your Word above all else. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'In your presence, Lord Jesus, we feel comfort and peace. While we are with you we desire to think no thoughts, but only to feel in our innermost being the light and love that emanates from God, the Holy One of Israel. In the stillness of meditation with you the ideas of success and failure, likes and dislikes fall away so that all things and all people become precious, each integral and perfect in God’s creation. In your infinite grace, O God, let us abide. Amen',
'The eye is the lamp of the body, Jesus said (Matthew 6:22). How much more so must the eyes of the heart be the lamp of the soul? That which our heart seeks to perceive must have such a profound impact on the quality and quantity of light that fills our inner being. Does your image sit in darkness within us, Almighty God? Or have the eyes of our heart allowed your Holy Spirit to illumine your glorious nature so that you may shine outward into the world for others to see? Direct the gaze of our heart, Blessed Lord, so that the lamp of our body and the lamp of our soul glow in the Spirit of your truth. Amen',
'Grant us safe passage through this day, dear Lord. Make us a servant of your loving kindness. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen',
'If we bear light, O God, let it be your light that shines out into the world. Let our faith produce good works, kind words and a gentle spirit. Guide our feet along the path with the light of your grace and mercy. Help us to drive away all darkness with forgiveness and an ability to live entirely by your Word. We desire to serve you, Lord, with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. It is not because we are worthy that we desire to serve, but so that others may see the power of your love to transform a sordid life into a “city on a hill.” Let people see how you can create love from SIN (Self-Inflicted-Nonsense). In your mercy, dear Lord, hear our prayer. Amen',
'There are many thoughts running free in our mind today. Let us turn away from our mind, O Lord, and listen instead to our heart and soul that belong to you. We pray that the beauty of your love swells within us, Divine Creator, and overcomes the shallow ideas of self that hinder your sweet song and gentle invitation. Make us truly Thine, dear Lord, for the people you have led us to serve. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'We wait for peace. We wait for the time to come when we can truly forgive injustices done to us. How can we be like Jesus on the cross? How can we not just overlook the sins of others, but instead take on their sin as our own and ask God to forgive us? It seems that we want to cling to pain and wallow in the anger we feel in our heart. Why, O God, can we not find the love we need to transform this near hatred into something that would glorify you? we pray to be a forgiving love that has no limit. Help us, please, merciful and all-embracing power. In the name of Jesus, who suffered death on a cross so that ALL would be forgiven, even us, and even those whom we currently despise. Help us to truly forgive. Amen',
'So much to forgive. So much light waiting for us if we could let go of the darkness it seems we love to hate. The brilliant gift of eternal love that God offers is right in front of us and yet we turn back to take up the dark ugly baggage of past resentment and self-righteous indignation. “We do the things we do not want to do, and we do not do the things we want to do.” If we could truly put on Christ, enfold our heart with his peace, love and forgiveness, then we would be free of the past and ready to serve with a whole heart. Set us free, O God, to love and serve you wholly. Amen',
'Only you, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, can satisfy at every moment. While we may strive to be of use or to offer words of faith, hope and love to people in pain and distress, unless we turn them toward you, God of comfort and Creation, their suffering will soon return. You never disappoint those who seek you with every breath. In perseverance, your truth is revealed and your Kingdom becomes a reality in our life. While we live among the shadows, O Lord, let us hold your light in our heart and your mercy and forgiveness on our tongue. Amen',
'Let our heart be little more than a yield sign to the powers of this world so that they can look and then pass right on by. To the power of God, however, let our heart be a WELCOME sign so that it will stop, come in, take refreshment, and then move on to grace another heart. In the afterglow of such a visitation, perhaps we would be more able to live fully as Jesus has invited us to live, and to forgive completely the things that prevent us from being fully alive. Come into our heart, O God, and make it truly Thine. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'As we check for logs and specks in our own eye, Lord, let us have as much compassion and forgiveness as you would have us give to others. Let your light of truth, grace, and mercy guide us as we search ourself in an effort to reveal unclean thoughts and desires. Purify us with your gentle hand. This we ask in the name of your Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen',
'Faith the size of a mustard seed? Do we even come close? There are times when we think it may be so, and in that very moment we flatter ourself and fail once again to live according to the teaching of your Word – to seek to do only the will of God. We think of ourself as more than a slave, and in that thought we betray our desire to be a servant of the Living Christ. Let our heart bow and serve and be silent in its inquisitions. Let it be, dear Lord, let it be. Amen',
'What does it mean to die for Christ? Is it to relinquish all control over one’s life? Is it to seek God every moment in prayer? Is it to risk doing more, much more than we would have thought possible of ourself because we learn that it is not I, but God, who will accomplish far more than we can even imagine? Is it to shed all care of what others may think in pursuit of sharing the love that God so freely gives? Not “to die perchance to dream,” as Shakespeare said it, but “to die to truly live,” as Christ has said it. Grant that we may know the joy of dying to your will, dear God. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Yes, Lord, we do want to be made well. We want to stand up and walk into the pool. We want to bathe in the water flowing in the river of life from the throne of God. We want to clap our hands with the trees of the field and sing with the wind of your Holy Spirit. Should we tell of your healing grace, O Lord, or do you bid us to be silent? we believe you would have us put your light on the lamppost and shout from the rooftops the truth of your unfailing love. Let it be, dear Lord, let it be. Amen',
'Help us to have the wisdom of your Word deep in our heart so that the Kingdom of your love and grace will be with us now and forever. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'There is no shame in you, O Lord, nor in those who strive with all of their heart to follow you and to do your will. Let us be among those who, even in the weakness of their human thoughts and desires, seek to know you in the depth of their soul. Let us be among those who seek to uncover the image of God that lies within each human heart. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'There cannot be a greater forgiveness than that of our Heavenly Father toward us. The sinful desires and actions of our young adult life were so many and profound that only the extreme love and mercy of God is capable of total forgiveness. Even our own gratitude for the restoration of our soul cannot come close to matching the grace with which God repaired our heart. We are still unworthy of such reconciliation, and our knowledge of ourself keeps us wonderfully humble as we serve the Body of Christ. With praise and thanksgiving we lift our hands, heart, eyes, voice, and life up to you, Almighty God, forever and ever. Amen',
'We pray that we not give ourself over to random thoughts, selfishness and evil that flows constantly through the air of this world. Let our spirit take from the air the nutrients for our soul, and expel those things that would pollute it. By your Word and your grace, O God, let us be led into a new life of Christ – dead to sin and alive in unselfish love. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Take our life, O Lord. Take our hands and our feet, our words and our deeds. Remove from our mind all thoughts of ourself that would distract us from doing your perfect will. Make us wholly yours, Blessed Savior, with a joyful heart; not for our glory, but to help others to know and praise you for your steadfast love, grace and mercy. You are our God – refreshing Living Water in a dry and thirsty land. Amen',
'Fill our heart with your wisdom and love, Source of Light and Giver of Truth. Guide us to seek your presence in this place and in the personhood of each disciple you call to join us in worship, prayer and praise. Let us have no other purpose than to give you thanks. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'There is no wisdom aside from seeking your Word in every time, place and circumstance. With our own intelligence and will we can accomplish next to nothing of real value. We seek your face, O God, as a light in our heart and a guide to our feet. Let our tongue speak nothing but your love, and our mind hold nothing but your wisdom. In your presence, dear Lord, let us stand, let us sit; let us rest – so that others will feel a desire burning within them to seek your peace. In the name of Jesus, our Lord and our Savior. Amen',
'Apart from you, Creator of Heaven and Earth, there can be no stewardship or discipleship. It is your light that guides and sustains. In your love and grace we gain wisdom and power to live according to your truth. In your love and grace we can pray for the people with whom we can labor as sisters and brothers for your purpose. Because of your steadfast love and grace, we have the hope that your Kingdom will come on earth and deliver us from all of the things that divide us. In your love and grace the world can experience the peaceful unity we desire in our heart of hearts – the place where you “live, and move, and have your being.” Thank you, God, for opening our eyes enough to see the glimmer of eternal life that gives hope and sustains life. Amen',
'The question should never be, “How long must we suffer persecution or be humbled?” Rather, we should ask ourself, “How else would you like us to serve you, our Lord?” Again and again, God brings us to places where we have opportunity to learn gentleness, humility and peace – evidently because we have not yet learned these things well enough in our deepest heart. Help us to learn, O God, the gift of your grace. Amen',
'In the splendor of God’s light we feel calm. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen',
'Only you, Blessed Lord, know what it is that we need to fulfill the destiny of our heart – the call of your Word invites us into your glorious presence. If we can get there by denying our body, let it be so. If we can get there by caring for our body, let it be so. If we can get there only by helping others to come along with us, (the way of Jesus), then let us deny our whole self and be given completely to that wonderful task. Hand, eye, foot, voice, heart, mind – everything given to proclaim the love of God to all people. We pray that it be so, in the name of our Blessed Lord Jesus. Amen',
'Help us to not forget that it is you, Almighty God, Creator of Heaven and Earth, who enables and judges all things. By the power of your Holy Spirit, help us to bring the voice of your will into the discussions of the power of wealth and political acumen. Through the voice that you have given us, let your love and wisdom be heard so that your truth and your justice may prevail. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'We have faith in you, our Creator. You are always generous and abiding in love, mercy and forgiveness. You provide everything of true and lasting value. You lavish upon our faithful heart everything of everlasting quality. Fill us, Merciful and Generous God, with your wisdom and goodness, and strengthen us to do your will. In the name of our Precious Lord and Savior, Jesus. Amen',
'We give thanks and praise to you, our Maker, Redeemer, Protector, and Lord. Without your divine presence we are fated to a journey of pointless suffering. But because you have love for all of your children, even those who still walk in darkness, we are filled with faith, hope and love. All glory and honor is yours, Almighty God, now and forever. Amen',
'Where there is darkness in our heart, let the light of your love shine. Where there is anger and resentment, teach us the way of your mercy and forgiveness. Let the peaceful contentment of your Holy Spirit become the true disposition of our soul and let it persuade others to seek your Kingdom. In the name of Jesus, Comforter, and Prince of Peace. Amen',
'We cannot think or speak of justice that can compare to the justice of your wisdom, O God. Our mind is limited to measuring what appears to be good for us and those we find easier to love. Your justice, on the other hand, flows throughout an unfathomable time on all of creation and among all living creatures. Without an ability to comprehend your justice, we give thanks and praise that we can at least have an opportunity to study your Word, follow your ordinances, seek your forgiveness, and enter into your presence in worship and prayer. In these things, Lord, may your justice be kind to us and help us to grow in love. We pray that we learn to love even those people who we find more difficult to love and see them in your light. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'By faith, and only by faith, can we know the full extent of your love, feel the full measure of your strength, and complete the work you would have us do for your glory and for your Kingdom. In faith we have been led – and so in faith let us lead. Amen',
'Through your servants and prophets, and by your presence in Jesus Christ, and in the power of the Holy Spirit, you have taught us that our faith is only complete as we love and encourage the whole world to enter into your Kingdom together. By this we understand that faithfulness and evangelism are so intertwined as to be inseparable. Hebrews 11:40 sums the reality of our call – without our neighbor there is no perfection in you, Almighty God. Help us be of help and encouragement to all who will hear, and to speak lovingly so as to unplug the ears of those who will not listen. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'We cannot fathom your faithfulness, Lord, because we are only able to rise to the top of our humanness – far short of your infinite grace. Even when we fail in faith by falling into fear and doubt, you still reside in our heart to shine your light in our darkness, renewing our strength and forgiving our weakness. In all of heaven and earth and beyond all measure of time, your faithfulness and love remain on the highest throne – a beacon that invites us into constant aspiration. Thanks be to you, Precious One, in the name of Jesus. Amen',
'When you test our faith, Holy Wisdom, and challenge our devotion to your Word, we have no greater purpose than to remain faithful to your promise of deliverance from sin and death. No matter how deep the valley or how impossible the task, your justice, comfort and strength uphold us. Let us feel joy when tested, Lord, and humble when you give victory to your servant. In the name of our blessed Lord Jesus. Amen',
'O God, you have given us so many gifts, but the one that means the most is a heart full of a desire to be in your presence and to know Jesus. we pray that we will no longer squander any of the abundance you have given to us, but that every ounce of our being and every waking moment will be dedicated to sharing your love in the world. Grant that it would be so, our Rock and our Redeemer. Amen',
'Our life has been changed by the powerful hand of God and made into something of real value – a witness to God’s unending and unlimited love. Though not perfect in the flesh, our heart is aflame with the desire to serve the Lord, our God, and to work unceasingly to help others to experience the life-giving power of God’s grace. If God can so utterly transform the life of this sinner, how much more can He accomplish in the lives of those who have not fallen so far as I. We bow down with gratitude to give you thanks and praise, Heavenly Father, in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen',
'By writing your Word on our heart, Holy One, you have made it easier for us to know you, to keep your commandments and to share your love. We need only be true to our inner nature to be at peace and in deep relationship with you. By your grace, help us to be just as you created us. In the name and image of Christ. Amen',
'Help us to release all of the things that prevent us from enjoying the fullness of your love. The excess baggage of anger and resentment and the costly pain of guilt and shame. We pray that the offer of your love and forgiveness overcomes the restrictions we place upon ourselves. We pray that we can experience the pure joy of dance and song in your presence. You are the God of Creation and the Giver of Life – we praise you and seek to serve you with our whole heart. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Still the beating impatience and intolerance within us. Quiet the howling voices of anger and the desires for revenge that ravage the peace in you that we truly seek. Let us put on Christ today so that the clothing on our human selves will be cleansed, repaired and made whole again. Calm the fears that discourage us from seeking to do your will for us and for the world. Place your comforting hand upon us and forgive all of our sins – all of those times when we forget or turn away from your divine love. Breathe on us breath of God. In Christ’s Holy name. Amen',
'Because there is nothing that can separate us from your love (see Romans 8:38-39) except our own disobedience and rebellion, grant us the wisdom and humility to keep our ego and pride from overtaking the true desire of our heart and the true purpose of our soul. Let us choose rightly today to follow you and obey your will with our whole being. Help us to set aside all of the burdens of anger, guilt, resentment, and shame that darkens our heart to the light in your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen',
'O God, your power and your presence can defeat all of the enemies that attack us from outside and inside of ourselves. The enemies that we can see with our eyes are not as dangerous as those we cannot see. It is the treachery of the unseen that creates doubt and fear that can destroy our resolve to love you and to do your will. More than the wagging tongues of humankind, the gnawing voices of the inner enemies chew away in every moment attempting to dissuade us from the purpose of making disciples and building your justice in the world. Help us, Lord God, to defeat these insidious beasts, and to work for the day of your coming into final victory. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'Because of your steadfast love and the certainty of your promise to sustain all who love and obey your Word, we strive day and night to keep you in our heart. With the power of the Holy Spirit, we are able to fend off the temptation to wander again in the lonely abyss of selfishness and greed. But it is only by the grace and power of your love that we have any success at all in keeping covenant with you, the Source of Eternal Life. Thank you, Holy One, for being mindful and forgiving of our human weakness. We praise your Holy name in Christ Jesus. Amen',
'In you we find relief from fear and anxiety. Your peace and the strength of your love conquer the enemies that whisper doubt and insecurity in our ears. You quiet the raging voices of dissention among us and give us guidance into your Word to renew our vision and restore our hope. We thank you and praise you, Lord God, our King. We pray that we serve you rightfully today by sharing the gifts you have given. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'We are so grateful for the invitation to be your servants – to be numbered among the multitude that have heard your voice and responded as best they can to live in the midst of your grace. “It is enough,” Jesus said (Luke 22:38). Indeed, that you love us and forgive us is enough. It is enough to give us hope and strength to get back up after each fall, each failing and each time we forget how much you love us. It is enough to help us remember who and whose we really are – your children. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'We need you, Lord. Oh how we need you. The day is young, but our flesh is already weak. We need your strong hand to lift us and to empower our ministry. In humble prayer, we seek you, our God and our King. Help us to serve you well today by the power of your Holy Spirit and in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen',
'The power of resurrection can have a profound effect on the life of all humankind. Beginning with the resurrection of Jesus, the restoration of life among all of us can provide a meaning and beauty superior to the humdrum routines that consume our energies. Send the power of resurrection among us, Jesus, and help us to open our hearts and minds to receive your renewing power. We pray that we live, truly live, each moment in the fullness of time. We pray that each moment will be a succession of the eternal NOW that reveals the essence of union with God – resurrected from the past and free of all fear and anxiety of the future. We pray that we recognize in each instant an opportunity to be content and well fed by your Holy presence. In the name and power of Jesus Christ. Amen',
'There is no greater love than the love that lifts us – the love that heals us – the love that sets our feet on the right path to salvation. It is the love of Almighty God that has restored our life and sustains our hope. It is this love that will heal the world. With hearts full of thanksgiving and gratitude, we lift our hands and voices in praise for your love, Gracious God. In the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen',
'Faith. Trusting that you, our God, are completing your purpose through those who seek you with their whole heart. Help us this day – and every day – to be among those servants. Relieve our heart of all obstacles that hinder the free flow of your Holy Spirit. Relieve our heart of the anger, jealousy, and pride that swell in us and constrict the love and forgiveness that would heal our world. We pray that you will transform us into the image of Christ to heal the earth and its people. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Grant us your wisdom and peace, O God, so that we may pass it along to others. Show us how to be agents of Holy transformation for you – when to speak with powerful force, and when to urge and invite with a gentle voice. In your mercy, Gracious God, you have led us into your Light and given us a passion for your Word. Now instruct us on how to share these gifts with the lost, the lonely and those in despair. We pray that the unity brought by Holy transformation will bring joy and peace among all of your disciples. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'Lord God, we pray that your Word will fill our hearts with the light of your love in such a way as to remove all darkness from our minds. There are so many things that we just do not understand. There are so many questions that cause us to stumble and cease our walk toward your Kingdom. Please put your light within us. Let us hear your voice in the ears of our heart and not hesitate for even a moment to follow in the steps of Jesus, the Good Shepherd. We pray that we will be in His flock today, tomorrow and forever. Amen',
'In this time that we are to dwell in the tent of the human body that you have made, Giver of Life and Creator of all things, let us use it wisely for your good and Holy purpose. Let shame be distant from us so that joy can abound freely in our heart. Make it a Holy joy – a state of living that reflects the nature of your Kingdom and our eternal home. We pray that this day and this journey will be united with you, our God and our King. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'Perhaps we have not seen you with our eyes, O Lord, but most certainly we have seen you with the eyes of our faith. We have seen the works of your hand and the gift of your love. We have witnessed your forgiveness healing broken hearts and broken relationships. The power of your Holy Spirit that you breathed into your disciples in the Upper Room and on the day of Pentecost still moves among your faithful servants today. Let that joy and hope be alive in us always. You are our God, our strength and our hope. You are the glory in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen',
'Christ Jesus, our Savior and our friend, you continue to walk with us and to carry us through so many troubled times. Even though we stumble and fall, failing to do God’s will and giving our minds and bodies over to the weakness and temptations of the flesh, still you continue to love us and forgive us. The gratitude in the depth of our heart goes beyond what we are able to express in words. Indeed, even as we are engaged in prayer, sometimes our mind betrays the desire of our heart to love you. How are we to become Holy when even in prayer we are not able to fully repent and become pure as you are pure? Help us, Lord Jesus, to love and trust you with our whole heart. In your Holy name. Amen',
'Life and death mean nothing without you, Lord Jesus. When we live outside of your Spirit, we fool ourselves into believing that we are truly alive. In that place, O God, help us to recognize the valley of death that consumes our joy. But if we are dead and yet walk with you then surely we will become fully alive. Help us to see that the flesh is but a cage with no lasting effect on the reality of life that is solely in the providence of the Spirit. Allow your Holy Spirit to wash over us, Precious Lord,, and let us live fully in your presence today. In your love and grace, our King, your will be done. Amen',
'Lord, you have called us from the darkness to walk in the light of your love. In the rebellion of our heart, you have made a throne that welcomes your Word. In the disobedience of our flesh, you have created a desire, a burning desire, to do your Will. You have done these things not because we are worthy, but because your love is infinite and your very essence is gracious. There is no other possible response from us than to praise your Holy name and give you thanks. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'The power of your love sustains us and provides everything we need. Words to say to your people and the courage to speak on your behalf come from the endless generosity of your Being. We are so grateful for the depth and height and breadth of your beauty, O God, and our heart melts in the presence of your Holy Fire. We will sing your praise forever. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'The task of shepherding your people is unthinkable without you, our God and Good Shepherd. Only your loving hand can quiet the trembling in our heart. The steps into the wilderness are possible only because of your guiding light. We are protected from the arrows of the enemy by the shield of our faith in you. The strength to carry the burdens of others can only come from your mighty power. Thank you, Eternal God, for your constant help and presence. We pray that we will always find rest for our soul on your bosom. Your name will be exalted forever in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen',
'God, our strength and our hope, let us be among those whom you gather to your throne. Empower our ministry in such a way as to be able to speak your truth with compassion and love while reminding people of the critical choices that must be made. In times of Spiritual crisis, everything suffers from the result of our rebellion against your Word. We no longer fear your judgment because we have elevated our thinking above your Divine will. We view your Word as an antiquated theology rather than the Eternal Truth by which we ought to live. Have mercy on us, O Merciful One, and forgive our arrogance. Break down our haughty conceit with the power of your Mighty Hand and humble our heart in your presence. Raise true shepherds among us who will speak your Word and teach us the wisdom to listen. Renew us in your Holy reign. In the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen',
'Because of your abiding and unending love, Creator of the Universe, we are able to have hope and faith. It is your mighty arm that holds us and lifts us when we fail or lose our way. Make our soul today as tender as the new leaves of spring – vibrant in their green, and joyful in their budding. We pray that our heart will be as content as the small voice of each bird that sings its simple song to add to the chorus in the trees. We give you thanks and praise for creating us to be a song in the multitude of songs giving glory to your Holy name and to the name our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen',
'If we possess any of the qualities to be leaders in your church, O God, it is only by your grace. The patience and kindness, the love and peace, the joy and gentleness, the generosity and faithfulness, the compassion and the self-control are all gifts of your Holy Spirit. It was not so long ago that we led a life of sin and rebellion, always failing to listen to your Word and obey your Commandment to love you with our whole heart, mind, body, strength and soul. Nor did we love our neighbor as ourselves. But in your mercy and grace, you chose to save us and transform us in the mysterious way in which you overcome darkness with joy, and violence with love. We need your help as much today as yesterday while we try to teach your Word to the world you have given into our care. We thank you, dear Lord, for guiding us with your light to be your light in the darkness of the world. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Take our whole heart, mind, body, and soul. Make them truly yours, Blessed One. The small pieces of ourselves that we give to you are not enough for you to transform our life. Help us to give you our whole self. Make us like sheep – passive and led by your light and love – by giving our whole self into your tender loving care. We have felt your hand on our shoulder and heard your voice in the ears of our heart. We have seen you in the presence of suffering and death; and we have seen you glowing in the rainbow painted across the sky. We have experienced your magnificence in the transformation of our life. You have revealed yourself to us in these many ways so that we can know you and love you. Open our heart, O God, so that we can know you even better to serve your greater purpose in Christ Jesus. Amen',
'Lord God, we need your help and your wisdom to guide us and to strengthen us. The task of shepherding is far greater than we can do on our own. We lack skill without you. We haven’t enough love without you. We will surely get lost in the wilderness without you. You are our strength and our shield, our light and our hope. Bless us, Gracious One, with your presence, and guide us with your love. In the name of Jesus, the Living Christ. Amen',
'With the light of your unfailing grace we have the hope and the promise of everlasting life through your Son, Jesus Christ. You are the source of all creation and in you we are able to share the delight of creating with you and one another. As we begin each moment with a fresh and open heart we can share in the limitless possibilities of your infinite love. Help us to keep awake the joy of newness and the freshness of spring as we pass through each day in the presence of your fullness of time. Keep awake in us an awareness of your eternal now. Thank you, Lord God, for life in the present moment with you. Amen',
'The charge to live as disciples of our Lord Jesus is far beyond what we can do without your guidance and your forgiveness, our God and Protector. Help us to live and speak today in ways that are appropriate for people who love and seek to serve you with a whole heart. Guard our heart and our thoughts from the temptations of the world. Put our feet and keep our vision on the path you have chosen for us. Help us to be Holy today, Precious Lord, and to praise your Holy name. In the true Spirit of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen',
'Lord God, open our hearts today in a new and exciting way. Open us to the assurance of your promise. Remove from us all doubt and apprehension with regard to the vision you have put within each of us – a vision of your Kingdom here on earth – a vision of your church restored to greatness in the center of human life. Help us to serve that purpose, O God, by a wise use of all of the gifts you have given. For your glory alone let us live and breathe today in the name of Jesus Christ, Lord of heaven and earth. Amen',
'That we can love you, Gracious God, is such a glorious gift to us and to others. O God, forgive us for the selfishness that prevents us from loving in the unconditional manner to which you call us. Forgive our impatience, especially with those who are closest to us. Help us so to love that in that love people would be able to see your face, your grace, your forgiveness, and your love. Lift all darkness out of our heart and soul. Fill us with the light of your Being so that others may see the glory and promise you offer as we journey together in faith, hope and love with Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen',
'You lavish so many gifts upon us every moment – so many that we cannot even begin to count them. But more than the material gifts of food, shelter, clothing, and things of the earth, are the Spiritual gifts that we often fail to recognize, develop and use. The gifts of giving and gentleness, and the gifts of love and caring. In the gift of Jesus Christ, you renewed your covenant so that we might recognize again your deep desire to have a relationship with each of us. By the gift of your Holy Spirit bringing gentleness, love and caring, you bind us together with each other and with you. Help us to be aware of these constant gifts of your presence and invitation. Help us spend every moment in thankfulness and praise. In the name of Christ and in the unity of your Holy Spirit. Amen',
'What we know is that our life had no real meaning until we answered your call to serve you in this world. Can we be so presumptuous as to assume, however, that you continue to speak to us? Should we tell your people openly that we still hear your voice stirring in our heart? Should we be bold to warn them of the dire consequences of cavalier attitudes toward your Word and Commandments? Shall we tell them of your judgments regarding wrongful priorities? Lead us, Almighty God, in your light and truth. Put boldness in our heart and help us to speak the words you would have us speak for you. Give us the courage and wisdom to do and say all that you ask. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'It is a great and glorious thing, this covenant you have made with us and all of the earth. It is wonderful that though we are weak and disobedient, you still seek a personal relationship with us. In your mercy and grace, Generous and Bountiful God, we can be fully restored to join with you and all of the saints in This is a gift beyond our comprehension, O Lord, except through the gift of faith in Jesus Christ not beyond our reach. Amen',
'You have poured your love into our heart with the power of your Holy Spirit, and have reconciled us through your self-giving in Jesus Christ. Help us today to follow you by doing the same as you have done. Help us to open our heart to receive the love you anxiously wait to give. Help us to bring other people to Jesus so that they will see that he desires nothing more than to save and bring back new life. Precious Refuge and Gracious King, we put all of our heart and soul at the throne from which you Create and Restore. Create in us a clean heart, O God, and restore your Holy Spirit within us so that we can serve you in the world more fully. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'You have laid before us the duties that we can do for you today, Lord. Our heart is full of gladness that we might serve you and be pleasing in your sight. Let us feel your strengthening hand on our shoulder. Let us hear your divine Word in our ears so that we can be courageous in speech and wise in thought. Guide us this day, O God, and forevermore. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Your love is so divine and precious. Your Holy Spirit is so necessary. It is only with these gifts that we have hope of unity and strength of faith. Help us to remain steadfast in our desire to do your will and to be grateful for all of the gifts you have given. These gifts are not just for our benefit, nor did you transform our heart for our sake only, Glorious God, but so that others might come to know of your power and grace as you continue your work among us. We pray that we will be good and faithful servants of your love and Holy Spirit today and always. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Paul considered himself blessed to be prisoner for Jesus Christ. To have a heart that can do nothing of its own accord without having knowledge of the Lord’s consent. Indeed, help us to recognize the blessing of being in such oneness with you that the will of our own heart would be conscripted with the divine love and will of Jesus. Help us, Almighty God, to be of such integrity in your grace. Amen',
'Let your wisdom and strength fill our words and heart, O God. You have called us to serve you. You and have led us to speak to the world in ways that challenge people in their comfortable places. The people will gossip among themselves and form a wall of resistance to change and growth in your Holy Spirit – preferring to preserve their own will rather than letting go of it to become totally yours. Lord, we pray that we will always be mindful of the fears of the people, but also steadfast and certain of leading them with courage and compassion toward your will. In the name of Christ Jesus, our friend, guide and Savior. Amen',
'It is so difficult to live according to all of your Commandments. Anger and resentment tarnish your call to unity and love among all people. The wounds and scars from the past can calcify our heart and not allow the soft, sweet feeling of love we all desire. Help us to let go of all the lingering pain, Merciful God, so that we can love our enemies and truly forgive injustices that have been done to us. Help us to overcome the need for revenge with a desire to live in the peaceful unity of your Holy Spirit. Help us to replace pride and ego with a love that embraces all of your creation. Only by the power of your loving grace can this happen, Lord. Let it fill us, mold us and transform us this very day. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'What is this love that you have given us? Help us to understand with our heart. The words are too confusing and the thoughts too dense for us to comprehend. O God, let the pure light of your truth shine directly into our heart so that our minds may know what it is that you have been trying to teach us for such a long, long time. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'The life that you call us to live is so contrary to the life that the world teaches. You call us to live in community as if we were one person blessed by the bounty of your love and grace. The world teaches us to live as if our joy and happiness depends on what we gain for our self and, perhaps, our family. By not realizing that we are all your children in a single family, we continue to miss the call of Jesus to become one in the unity of your Holy Spirit. Forgive our blindness, Lord, and guide us to perfect communion in you and in the name of our Blessed Lord, Jesus. Amen',
'It seems like we so easily forget all of the things you have done for the people who seek you with their whole heart, Most High and Loving God. The ancient days of your delivering and the modern times of your continuous giving go unnoticed by people who ought to care. Slow our hurried days, Patient One, and help us to take the time to remember all of the great deeds you have done. We give you thanks for all that you have given, and for deliverance from captivity to loneliness and despair. Guide us, Holy Light, into a new life of joyful living and grateful praise. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Make our minds spin in the wonderment of your love. Turn our world upside down and help us to imagine the impossible. Indeed, help us to do more than imagine. Put our hands and our feet to work in this world so as to bring your Kingdom among us. Let the scoffers’ words be the wind that fans the flame of the Holy Spirit within us. Make us fearless and joyful in our pursuit of your truth, Almighty God. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'Guide us, O God. Lead our feet on the path of your righteousness and shine your light in our heart so that we can follow only you and not be distracted by the evil things of falsehood. You alone can give real meaning and absolute love to our words and deeds. In your presence there is hope. In your power there is salvation. In your purpose there is truth. Let us serve in your presence, power and purpose, Holy One, found in your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen',
'We will sing praise to you all day long, every day of our life. You are our joy, our King and our God forever and ever. Amen',
'Precious Lord, by your love and mercy we have been lifted from dark places and are able to walk in the light of your grace. In the hours, days and years that we hid our face from your love, you continued to look at our heart. You waited patiently for us to turn our life over to your purpose. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for saving us from a meaningless life and allowing us to share your love in the world. Amen',
'Open our ears to the sound of your voice, Lord Jesus, and let us hear your teaching and your call to salvation. Remove the barriers around our heart so that we may love more fully as you love us. Open our eyes, Lord, so that we can see the world as it truly is instead of how we would have it be so that it would benefit mostly ourselves. Help us to know the truth of you, your son Jesus Christ, and your Holy Spirit. Help us to experience the joy and wholeness of the blessed Trinity. Amen',
'In your Holy Spirit we have unity amid our diversity. In your Son, Jesus Christ, we have the hope and promise of eternal life. In your Creation, we have the fulfillment of all of our needs and the invitation to enjoy far more than we can even imagine. For all of this, Holy One, we give you thanks and praise in the name of the one who is, who was, and who is to come – our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen',
'All glory, praise and honor to you, Almighty God, who has called each one of us to become heirs with Christ in the abundance of your Kingdom. Help us to live according to all that you have commanded so that we can be a light in this world and a resident in your eternal home. We give you thanks, Holy Creator, for all that you give each moment and for all that you promise in the ages to come. Lead us to help others in the way of your prefect love. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'It is a great and wonderful thing that you, Almighty Creator, are mindful of us who are given to self-centeredness and rebellion. You repeatedly forgive us and renew your promise to invite us into your Kingdom each time we repent; each time we recognize that we have fallen once again into the weakness and temptation of the flesh. Thank you for your unceasing love and grace. Thank you for the gift of everlasting life. Help us, Gracious God, to serve you and your purpose. Clear our eyes of delusion and our hearts of selfishness so that we can see Christ and love him more fully. Amen',
'Lord God, let us remember every moment the wonderful gifts you give to each of your children. The gifts of freedom in the Spirit; the gifts of love and forgiveness in Christ Jesus; the gifts of life and sustenance in all of your Creation. Today and forever, let us remember to praise your Holy name and give you thanks. Let each moment of our life be a witness to the gratitude we have in our heart for the gift of joy we feel because you have called us to be your servant. We pray that the light of your glory and truth will shine through us for others to receive all you desire to give. In Christ. Amen',
'Let your peace fall upon our soul, O God, so that we can serve you by being a source of your peace for others. Let your love fill our heart so that we can give your love to others. Let your wisdom fill our mind so that others might see your light in our words. Let our life be totally yours, our God and King, so that others might be with us in the Kingdom of your Eternal Grace. In the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen',
'Bless the Lord. God has lifted our life from the pit of self-destruction and self-delusion. God has given us strength and vision. God has invited us to feast at His table of love and truth. Help us, our Hope and our Salvation, to remain steadfast in our desire to walk in your light, and to keep our mind, body and soul focused on those things that will bring glory and honor to your name. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'In your mercy, O God, forgive the ways in which we fail to be as obedient and loving as you would have us be. In your grace, we pray that we may receive the blessing of your love even though we know that we are not worthy. Restore life to the parts of our self that have died a thousand deaths because of the sins of the flesh and countless betrayals in pride and rebellions of the mind. Have mercy on us, Lord Jesus. Amen',
'In your presence, O God, all things become a perfect wholeness that works for a common good. Even in suffering of mind and body we can be in your presence to transform our tears into a peace that surpasses understanding. Give us the faith that leads to this transformation so that we can speak about it to others suffering in their pain as they search comfort in things we cannot possibly understand. Guide us, Light of all Light, in your wisdom and peace on this day and forevermore. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen',
'We cannot begin to count the number of ways you have blessed our life and our soul, Heavenly Creator. In addition to the external gifts of air, food, shelter, and clothing, you have filled our internal world with joy, gladness, love, faith, and hope. The Divine Light of your Essential Being burns brightly in the depth of our soul so that no darkness can survive within it. Your forgiveness has created more gratitude in our heart than we can ever speak. We pray that our words and actions will be a testimony to your love, grace and mercy so that others will know the depth of our gratitude for your goodness and mercy. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'O Lord,, many of the gifts you have given are far beyond the vision of our eyes. Your voice is so soothing that our ears cannot comprehend the truth and wisdom of your Word. Giver of Eternal Life, turn our gaze and our listening toward the parts of our soul that can see and hear you clearly. Enable us to follow you by becoming joyfully obedient to the glorious image of your Kingdom, and teach us to love the peaceful sound of your voice. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'Lord God, you are our strength and shield, our rock and our foundation. We praise you in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening, and even as we sleep our dreams seek to exalt your Holy name. We give thanks to you because of all that you have done. You are forever in our heart and we long to be with you every moment of our life. We praise you, Heavenly Creator. We praise you. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Abiding Grace, we have heard the voices of your Creation and we have experienced the power of your mighty hand. When you put your hand on our shoulder and invite us to the table with the saints and servants of your Kingdom, you restore our hope. You restore our strength and put in our heart an unquenchable desire to spread the Gospel of love. Your mercy has given us the assurance of forgiveness, and your constant presence has given us the courage to speak your truth. Help us not to waiver in our devotion or falter along the path. Let our hearts be humble and our minds be quick in service to your Holy purpose. We praise your Holy name. Amen',
'It does not matter how much we have, or how much we lack, so long as you are with us, Lord God. In days of homelessness and hunger, you have fed us and provided for our basic needs. We gave you thanks and praised you with many names and in many places. And in days of plenty, we seek to be with you even more as we lift our hands in joyful adoration of all that your bountiful hand provides. We sing your praise and strive to tell others of your constant presence and love. Thank you, Great Provider and Protector. Receive the humble gift of our whole heart for your Holy purpose now and forever. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Be praised, Giver of Life and Creator of the Universe. Our heart is overflowing with the gifts of your unending grace and abundance. We pray that we will live each moment today aware of your bountiful love. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'O God, we thank you for your gift of faithfulness – the foundation of our strength and hope. We pray that we will be helpful to you so that others might experience the wind of the Holy Spirit beneath their wings when they have fallen into valleys of despair or the burdens of life have defeated their hope. Let us speak your Word of comfort, and shine your light of love into their darkened heart. Let us bring Jesus to their side. In you r mercy, let us bring Jesus. Amen',
'Lord God, you have called us to follow and to serve. Help us to remember our baptism and the power of the Holy Spirit that will sustain us as we complete the task for which you have called each of us. Though we do not know the mountains and valleys we will encounter on the journey, your strength and love will support us on our way. Clothe us with the whole armor of God and enfold us in the power of unity in the Body of Christ. There is no price too high that we will not pay to remain within your sight, our God and our salvation. Amen',
'It is not just when we walk with you, Lord, but also with whom we choose to walk. Is it a person who knows you? Is the person seeking to know you? Or is it a person who seeks to distract and tempt us away from the truth of your love and the promise of your Kingdom? Help us to discern right directions for our journey and good company as we seek to gather disciples to walk with us on the road to Spiritual freedom. Help us to maintain good and Holy priorities and to develop healthy relationships that kindle your pure love. Your face is all we seek, Beautiful Savior. Amen',
'The extraordinary power of love and faith with which you restore and sustain human lives gives us reason enough to sing your praise throughout eternity. But your bountiful nature does not stop there. You pour out food, shelter, sunrise, clouds, earth, sea, flowers, whales, birds, and countless wonders. For all of this, Eternal Creator, our heart overflows with gratitude and awe. Your name will be glorified and praised forever, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Deepen our desire to know you, Gracious God, and to seek you and dedicate our life to your will. Take away from us all of the failings of our flesh that distract us from your Holy purpose. Humble our heart and purify our thought. Remove from our life the forces of evil and negativity. Fill us with such love and faith that darkness will be cast out of us in the presence of your light. These things we pray for your glory. Let your name and power be worshiped through the work you accomplish in us. Now and forever in the name of Christ. Amen',
'We give you thanks and praise for the wise teaching we have received from those you have sent to instruct us. There were some who were obvious to us at the time of their arrival, and others whose appearance and manner hid themselves and their wisdom until such time as we could understand. We pray that their messages of faith guide us and make us aware of the new things you would have us learn. And if it is your Holy purpose, Most High Teacher, help us to share this wisdom with others. In the name and Spirit of Christ. Amen',
'As America celebrates freedom, we pray that we not declare an independence from you, our Sovereign God. The freedom of life that we lose amid violence and greed is directly related to our disobedience to your will. In the richness of your grace, Lord and Master of the Universe, forgive us and open our heart to the freedom of your truth – the truth that can only be known through faith in you – the One Eternal God. Freedom, true freedom and independence, can only be found by giving ourselves totally to you. We pray that it would be so in our life today and always. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'In joy and in sorrow we turn to you, our friend and comforter. There is nothing in our life or in our soul that we cannot or will not share with you. We share the good because you are our friend. We share the bad because you are gracious and forgiving. In you, our God, we live, and move, and have our being. We praise your Holy name now and forever. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'The peaceful beginning of the day enters our body like the gentle wind of the Holy Spirit, filling us with joy. Help us to carry this gift of your love throughout this day to give to others. Let us be a flowing river of your grace, Gentle One, forever giving thanks and praise to you. In the name of Jesus, our Lord, our Savior, our Guide, and our Friend. Amen',
'If we are to have wisdom, Source of Truth, let it be nothing more than a reflection of your Word. Every minute particle of your Everlasting Love will blaze like a torrent of fire in the midst of the sea of human thought. You are the still small voice of love in the mighty flow of eternity. Let us swim in the ocean of your divine Being, O God, and satisfy the people who thirst for wisdom, justice and truth. In your mercy, Holy One, let us live, learn and teach. Amen',
'If there is any good that we are able to do in the world, it is only by God’s power in the presence of His Holy Spirit. We are grateful for those moments when we are able to go beyond human ability to participate in the Divine. We are like a tree that had withered and died because we had spent all of our energy doing things ourselves – things of worthless gain and pointless value. Then we stretched our hand upward and our heart deep into the ground of God to receive the power of the Holy Spirit. We received the nourishment of forgiveness and the comfort of love to restore our life and fill our soul with divine pleasure. With these gifts, we can now work tirelessly for the glory of God and the building of His Kingdom. Thank you Jesus. Amen',
'Because of God’s abiding and steadfast love, we have come to know that it is not sacrifice of things that He desires, but the deepest love of our soul. God does not desire this for His own glory, because His glory does not depend upon our devotion. Rather, God desires our deepest love and devotion and proclamation so that others may be brought into the light of His love from the darkness of their loneliness and despair. Receive our love among the faithful servants of your Kingdom, O God, and let it produce fruit in the vineyard you have planted. In the name of Christ Jesus. Amen',
'We give you thanks and praise for the answers you give to our prayers, and for the many gifts you give to us even though we do not even think to ask. Help us to be as mindful and heartful of you today, Heavenly Creator, as you are of us. We pray that we speak freely of your loving kindness, and give to others all of the strength and hope that you give to us. With out whole heart and soul, we lift our hands to you, our God, and praise your Holy name. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'God of Jacob. God of heaven and earth. God of trumpet sound and tambourine, singing voices and joyful shouts. Fill us today with the simple grandeur of your vast expression. While possessing a glimpse of the universe you have created, let our heart be as gentle as the dew that rests on the flower you have made. Let us help your garden bloom today, O God, so that others may rest a while in your love. Amen',
'We lift our heart to you, Lord, so that you might fill it with faith and love beyond what we can achieve by our own strength and will. We give you thanks as we bend our knee in humble adoration of your Holy name. Without your guidance, we have no good direction; without your love, our life has no meaning; and without our faith in you we must wander aimlessly in the world of illusion. Shine your light on our path, Blessed Illumination, and let us see the righteous way of praise and thanksgiving that leads us to your Kingdom. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'We wait each day for the moments when you reveal yourself to us. Help us in each moment of this day to see that you are not waiting to invite us into your peace and glory. Forgive our blindness, merciful God, and our propensity to be distracted by the ways of the flesh. You alone are Holy, and we strive to be in your company. In your mercy, Heavenly Father, let us unite ourselves to live according to your Holy purpose. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Fill us with your loving Spirit. Let us share the peace that surpasses all understanding. In the hours that pass as we wait anxiously to hear your voice, help us to remain strong in faith. In the moments when we see your presence in a child, or hear you in a song, or walk with you with a friend, let our heart rejoice and give you thanks, Almighty God, now and forever. Amen',
'Blessed Lord, in the abundance of your nature you cannot do otherwise than to continuously pour out blessing on all of the people who worship you. You bless all who seek to obey your commandment to love you with all of their heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love their neighbor as themselves. Grant that we give this day as freely and abundantly as you have given to us so that others may come to know of your eternal grace, love, forgiveness and strength. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Lord God, our strength and shield, forgive the weaknesses and temptations of the flesh that continue to distract us from the deep desire to serve you with a pure heart and a clean mind. Help us to prepare our soul to be fertile ground for the seed of your Word. Let those seeds become beautiful fruit for others to consume. Pour your grace into every aspect of our life and into every word we speak so that the whole world will come to know by your presence in us the depth and eternity of your love. Holy God, we lift up to you our life in the precious name of Jesus. Amen',
'Help us to remember to take the time to be with you, Lord Jesus, so that you can give us your peace as we share the concerns and burdens of our life with you. As the smaller, yet seemingly stronger, parts of the human heart shout for our attention and action, let us be content to listen for your gentle voice. You will tell us everything we need to know, say and do. Thank you, Jesus, for walking with us, forgiving us, and comforting us. We praise you for the peace, love and wisdom you provide. Amen',
'Only by the power of your mighty hand will we have the strength to endure and persevere in the presence of the evils that are unleashed in this world. Make us soldiers in your army to battle cruelty and injustice. Give us knowledge that will reveal the truth of your love amid the din and clatter of anger, violence and revenge. Guide our speech and help us in our work so that we will not betray the mission to which you have called us. Help us to serve worthily in the crusade against greed and selfishness that afflicts the governments of the world and invades even our own desire to serve you. We pray these things with our whole heart in the name of Jesus, in whom we find all hope. Amen',
'When we abide in you, our Lord and King, we feel the peaceful strength of your power. Protect us from the weaknesses of our flesh and the temptations of our mind that constantly lure us away from the beauty of your truth. We pray that you will remain mindful of us, and merciful. Grant that we can learn to give your kind love and mercy to others with as much delight as you have given to us. We praise you, Almighty God, from the depth of our being. We praise your Holy name in the name above all names, Jesus Christ. Amen',
'When the enemy invades our mind and our flesh, we are without defense unless we call upon your Holy name, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It is you who created all things and came to dwell among us as the Living Christ. Holy One, you alone are Sovereign and all-powerful. We ask you to protect us from the tirades of evil that sometimes fall upon us. Cleanse our mind with the pure light of your love. Focus our attention on being your servant. Call each of us by name and send the Holy Spirit to us for fire and inspiration. We ask in the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Strange and mighty and mysterious are your ways, O Lord. Though we cannot know or understand the meaning of your directions, let us hear and obey your will. Cleanse our heart and our mind for your service, our God and our King. Anoint our bodies and our Spirit with the love and truth of your Being. Allow every fiber of our body to be filled with a burning desire to make you known in the world. Make every thought an expression of our will to become one with you. Please, God of all creation and Ruler of all things, purify our heart, mind, body, and soul for your Holy purpose. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'God, you are mightier than all of the things that threaten peace and unity. With a single movement of your hand or the slightest whisper of your Word, you can remove all trials, and pain and suffering. Help us, therefore, to receive the hardships of human life as your loving instruments seeking to teach us the true meaning of faith and hope. Whatever befalls us and the ones we love, help us to seek you and to speak words of faith, hope, comfort, love, and assurance. We pray in the name of Jesus, the firstborn of the Kingdom of God. Amen',
'We come to you, Divine Creator, to bathe in the light of your presence with Jesus, our Savior. We have hope that the weaknesses and sins of our flesh will be removed by the grace of your love, and through your invitation to us in Christ Jesus so that we can stand cleansed in your sight. We pray that the desire to serve you with all of our heart and soul will achieve victory over our smaller self. Bathe us in your love, Almighty God, and cleanse our thoughts and deeds forever. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen',
'There is no other joy like the joy of serving you. There is no place as beautiful or peaceful as the place where you call us to live. Thank you, Blessed Peace and Creator of All that is Good, for providing us the shelter of your grace. Our deepest desire is to live within your presence with a humble and grateful heart. In the name of Christ Jesus. Amen',
'We praise you, Lord God, and give you thanks for all that your hand has provided. With your mighty hand and in the abundant generosity of your love you have given us all that we need, and you have delivered us from the valleys of living death. From these valleys, you have brought us into a garden of your peace and promise. Help us to describe and represent this beautiful place to others so that the whole world might come to know your peace for all of eternity. In the name of your most blessed Son, Jesus Christ. Amen',
'Heavenly Father, thank you for the beauty of the earth and of friends. The earth delights our heart through our senses, and our friends delight our heart with love. Help us to truly appreciate all that you have created and are creating, and help us to be a friend by being a delight for others. We pray, O God, that we may also be your friend, today and forever. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'Please use us for your purpose, Lord. Fill our heart and our mind with the power of your love and the divine wisdom of your Being. Let us help you motivate others to allow you to transform them – to change their heart and their focus from the desires of the flesh to the beauty of their soul. Speak to us, O God, and let us hear and understand your Word. Even more, give the words of our mouth the direction of your divine will. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'O God, you are our God. In our youth you called us and sent your servants to plant the seeds of your love in our heart. In the years of our wilderness experience you protected us. Even while we behaved foolishly and ignored invitations to join the Body of Christ you watched over us. And now, Lord, you have brought us to the mountain and shown us the depth of the valley from which you lifted us so that we can know and share with others the extent of your love and the limitlessness of your power. Your ever-present grace in our life has enabled us to be a witness for your eternal love. Thank you, God, in the name of Jesus Christ, your Son, our Savior. Amen',
'Fill our heart today with the power of your love and the light of your wisdom. Give us the strength and courage to speak and perform bold acts of faith. Grant us the gentleness to encourage and heal broken hearts. All for your divine glory and purpose in the name of Christ. Amen',
'Heavenly Father, help us to respond appropriately to your purpose in our life. Help us to balance patience with urgency by not allowing apathy and rebellion to dim the vision of your Kingdom in our heart. Give us wisdom, courage and hope, O God, and help us to teach others to listen for your voice in the deepest heart and soul of our lives together. Amen',
'You have spoken very clearly and consistently, Lord, about the choice we must make between life and death while still among the living. Give us the wisdom and strength to choose the joy and abundance you offer. It is only in inviting, encouraging and sharing with others the assurance of your love that we can attain real happiness. Let our vision be so fixed on this certain truth, our God, that we become blind to all other temptations. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Lord God, we pray that the depth and truth of your Word will pierce our heart. Let it be that we not dull the cutting edge of your truth that slices through the artificiality and cowardly ego of this world that seeks to defeat your Holy purpose. Strengthen your will through our ministry today, Lord, and guide us with the power of your truth. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Precious Lord, you have brought us to a place of special communion with you. We feel love and gratitude in our heart for the beauty and gifts you have provided in our journey. We feel joy in our soul as we return once again to this Holy place where we seek your blessed company. Help us, God of Strength, to recommit ourselves in this special place to work for your Kingdom with renewed hope and faith. Help us to not recoil from challenge nor turn back from any opportunity to share your love and light in the world. Heavenly Father, we renew our devotion to you and to the ministry to which you have called us, and we recommit our desire to walk with Jesus, the Living Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen',
'Blessed Lord, allow us to live in the constant flame of your consuming fire. Ignite our heart with the power of your love. Wing our words with the power of your truth. Guide our feet on the path of your righteousness. Give us the strength to use our hands, hearts and minds for your work here on earth. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Your Word and your Being are too awesome for us to understand. Instill within us an awe and reverence that is appropriate in the presence of your greatness. If we tremble like Moses in your presence, calm our heart and fill us with your infinite love. Pour the light of your Holiness into the darkness that whispers evil in our ears and blinds us to the beauty of your perfection. In your peace, O God, we pray in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen',
'Lord God, we cannot count the number of times you have answered our prayer, nor measure the magnitude of your help rescuing us from the darkness that has sought to consume our life. Even as we set our heart and mind to follow and serve you, there are forces of evil that conspire against us. But your strength and your mercy and your love will prevail and rescue us from the legions that would prevent our service to your Holy purpose. We praise you, God of Power and Might, for all of the aid you give to those who seek you with their whole heart. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Help us to see clearly today. Help us to look deeper into the reality of your Creation. Guide us into the inner truth that cannot be shaken, altered nor destroyed. Help us to view the reality of divine life that will not wither nor fade, and that will not burn nor die on the final day. When we look, feel, taste, smell, and touch your Word, Lord God, help us to know your Holy Spirit and the infinite beauty of your created world. This we ask in the name and Spirit of the Living Christ. Amen',
'Consume our heart with the fire of your Holy Spirit. Remove from us the distractions that impede our desire to be with you every moment. Take away the weaknesses of our flesh and the evils that put unclean thoughts in our mind so that we can serve you with our whole being. Help us Lord, God and King to find you in each moment, in each word, and in each breath you give as a precious gift now and forever. Amen',
'Heavenly Creator, you have created the inside and the outside of us. Our skin and our soul are both the work of your hand. Let our soul rule over our skin. Let the inward places of our heart shine with the light of your image with greater power than the tinted stain of our outward appearance. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, Lord God, let the image of your love within us paint a landscape for others to see. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Guide us today, O God, in your wisdom, compassion, power, and love. Give us courage to speak and patience to know when to keep silent. Allow us to lead with the authority you have given, and to follow with the humility you require. In the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen',
'Put into our eyes the light of your love. Remove the darkness of temptation and meaningless thoughts that blind us. We desire to be your servant as we struggle mightily with the shallow and evil aspects of this world. Help us, Almighty God. With your compassion and mercy, cleanse our spirit and heal our body of the afflictions of this world so that we can serve your Heavenly Kingdom more completely. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'We pray that we be the least of those who will be joined together in your Kingdom, Lord. Melt us so that we may be poured out for others. Mold us into an image that is pleasing in your sight. Fill us with the light of your love and mercy. Use us for your greater purpose. In the name and Spirit of our Blessed Lord Jesus. Amen',
'O God, you came into our world and took upon yourself human nature so that we could learn from you how to live in the flesh. Because you came to us in human form, we know that you have experienced the difficulties we face each day. Your knowledge of us is intimate and complete. Grant that we become as intimate in our knowledge of you and that we might take upon ourselves your Divine Nature. Then, perhaps, we would come to understand and love our neighbor as ourselves. Then, perhaps, we could take upon ourselves their nature, their culture, their burdens, and their joy. Help us to move outside of ourselves so that we can experience your love more deeply as we learn to know our neighbor within ourselves in the unity of your Holy Spirit. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'Change our heart, O God. Take away all selfish desire and replace it with the love that surpasses all understanding. Fill us with Holy fire so that we can ignite the flames of your love within the people you bring to us to embrace and teach. Change our heart, O God. Take away the impurities that strangle the gentle flowers of peace and mercy that you have planted deep in our soul. Let us blossom fully as your servants to nurture and grow the garden in which you have placed us. This we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Our eyes, our heart, our whole being turns to you, Almighty God. In the eternal love that comes from you, we place all of our faith, hope and trust. So firm is the foundation and so absolute is the promise of your love. A mere glimpse of your glory is enough to sustain us in the darkest of hours and in the lengthiest of difficult journeys. In you, our Heavenly Creator, we find our deepest desire. We praise your Holy name. Amen',
'We long for you in the deepest and brightest places of our soul. You are the delight of our heart. Beyond the shallow waters of our flesh and earthly toil, we can feel your Mighty Presence overcoming all pain and sorrow. Let your Divine Light shine foremost in our eyes so that others might see your Divine Love in the windows to our soul. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'It is peace within our heart, and courage in our faith that we seek today, Blessed Savior. In the tumult of Christian leadership, we desire to guide the world to a genuine experience of you. Let our heart be fully open and rule over every egoistic tendency that obstructs the path to your unity. In this way, we will know that your love rather than our small selfish mind is in control. This we pray in the name of the Loving Christ who guides us in peace and faith strong enough to transform the world and call us to real life in you. Amen',
'Help us to remember that it is always your heart that is open first. It is always your heart that initiates a healing, comforting and sustaining relationship that will make us whole in the perfection of your heavenly Kingdom. Open our heart, Lord, and help us to invite the world into wholeness and joy in you. In the name of Christ Jesus. Amen',
'We feel you nudging us. We sense your stirring in the deepest part of our soul. Help us to discern what it is that you are trying to say to us today. Help us to do the new things you are asking of us today. Help us to know the wisdom you want to give to us today. Help us to learn and to live by what you desire to teach us today. Your disciples are listening, Lord God, in the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Help each of us to become the unique person that you have created – living fully in the power of your love. Amen',
'We know that you are present in these days of mourning as a source of comfort and strength. We praise you and give you thanks. Our plea today, Lord God, is that you will soften and open the hearts of this angry nation and enable us to hear your still small voice that will ultimately bring victory over all evil. Help us to put all of our hope and all of our trust in the mighty power of your eternal love. We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Amen',
'Our little voices rise to your mighty throne. Our little heart is placed before your infinite love. Please, Lord, give us the wisdom of your Word and the courage of your Spirit. Guide our thoughts, God of all truth, and pour your strength into our soul so that we can complete the Holy task you have given us today. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'We pray that your Word will guide us and grow stronger in our heart of hearts. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Our heart is so grateful for the love and wisdom you continue to provide. We come to you seeking light with which to lead as your love shines deep within our soul forever. We pray for vigilance to follow your grace and peace that you freely give. Amen',
'Restore joy into our heart, O God, and put on our feet the spirit of Holy dance. Lift from us the weight of our world so that we may, for a time, have joy and laughter in our soul. Cleanse our hearts, O God, and give us pure faith in you. In the name of the One – our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen',
'Cast the adversary out of our heart and protect our house from every form of evil. Set a sign above, below and around our thoughts that will prevent the enemy from entering our mind. By your grace and mercy, Mighty One, give us a pure mind and empower our speech with your truth. We desire courage to speak the wisdom that only you can give. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'Let our thoughts be your thoughts, and our words your Word. Take the willfulness of our spirit and mold it into the will of your Holy Spirit. Fill us with the truth of your Divine Power, Almighty God, and give us the strength and fortitude to remain steadfast in our proclamation of all that you continue to reveal to us. Lift our heart from the despondent places of fear and doubt so that our voice – the voice filled with your Word – will sound firm and clear in the clamor of the world. Set us on a rock, our Lord and King, and fix our eyes on your Light. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'So that we can serve you with a pure heart, O God, let us move swiftly away from the pains of the past and not focus on the fears of the future. Fill us with an overwhelming light to see the beauty of each moment, and to savor the richness of your presence all around us. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Teach us to be thoroughly satisfied in you, our God. Teach us patience and joy in waiting for the time of your choosing to show us your glory. Teach us to speak your truth and to receive the gifts of your Spirit that you always give. Forgive our impetuousness. Calm our hearts amid the tumultuous demands of the world. Help us to remember that you are always present providing for our wholeness. Help us to live each moment totally in faith, hope and love. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'We do take your Word seriously, our Lord and King. We read your Word and it penetrates our whole being with awe and a strong inner desire to be obedient. Your Word fills us with the knowledge of your truth and love that we want to share with the world. The certainty of your justice and mercy motivates us to action with urgency and hope. Help us, O God, to help you restore the world as your own. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'What we seem to lack most is courage. Through your Word and prophets You speak so clearly, consistently and directly into our heart. But we fear the price we will have to pay if we were to speak to others the things you have revealed. We fear those who would ridicule or seek to harm us, and so we veil the truth you give. Forgive us, Heavenly Father, and guide us in your truth with strength and courage. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'We are sustained in faith today by your strength and your love. Let us not turn away from your beautiful face, but let it shine fully on our own. In the name and Spirit of Christ. Amen',
'You know the misery that is present in our world today. You know the pain of our bodies and the anguish of our hearts. And you will not forget the covenant you have made. Help us to remind people in convincing, loving and powerful tones to return to you and to become more attentive and obedient to your will. Allow us to cast out demons in our own heart and soul so that we can serve you by doing the same for others. Always in the name and by the power of Jesus Christ. Amen',
'Help us to focus our heart and our mind on you today. Keep us from dwelling on the insignificant events of the day that dwarf in comparison to the mission of your love in the world. You are worthy to be praised, God of Creation, and our soul longs to be with you all day long. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'Open our heart, Creator of Heaven and Earth, and let us know in our deepest selves the truth and glory of your majesty – the power of your mercy and love that removes our sin and weakness. We are so grateful for the new life that you always bring. Empower our actions, not just our words, to do your will with the elegance of your grace. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Let your peace wash over us like the morning dew that refreshes and prepares the earth for the toils of the day. Let your love fill our soul like nectar in an empty vessel to prepare us to be in service to your grace. We give you our heart and our life as best we can, even in the weakness of our flesh. In your mercy, Blessed Lord, forgive our sinful ways and lead us in service to you. Grant us a clear mind, and a voice to glorify your Holy name. Amen',
'We give you thanks and praise, God of Israel, Almighty Creator. By the love and grace of your being we have received forgiveness. In your presence among us as Jesus Christ, and in the unity of your Holy Spirit, we receive hope and strength to carry on in the violence created by the evil that invades the human heart. Thank you Lord, for the promise of a better world to come. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Let our voice be your voice, and our courage a sign of your strength. If we speak and act contrary to public opinion, let it be a result of your wisdom and Holy Spirit working within us. Guard our soul from self-deceit and selfish anger and stubbornness. Protect us from all desires that are not a product of your grace and love. Forgive our failings in the flesh, Merciful God, so that we can serve you in Spirit and in truth. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen',
'Help us to make our inner Spiritual life with you manifest in the actions and speech we offer to the world. The peace and love you have nurtured in our heart and soul is so desperately needed in the turbulent days of anger and vengeful rage in which we live. Help us to courageously speak of your will in this life, and help us to prepare others and ourselves for the Kingdom to come. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Gracious and Loving God, we praise you and seek you with our whole heart. We think of your power and generosity day and night. We marvel at the abundant works of your Mighty Hand. Every day, Lord, we desire your peace on our heart. Settle the wrestling within us – the voices of rebellion that rage against your call to unity and peace. Bring stillness and tranquility to our deepest heart. We need your peace and comfort today. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Lord God, open the eyes of our heart so that we can see and comprehend the world from your perspective. Fill our vision with the light of your truth. Remove the shadowy figures of selfishness from our heart so that we can know the glory, peacefulness and unity of life in your Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'We wait for your justice and vindication, Lord. We try with all of our heart to overcome the desire for recognition of being “right.” We strive earnestly to see all righteousness as the result of your love and mercy. Help us to be more patient, dear God, because our heart is anxious and our human nature causes us to stumble with nearly every step we take. While we long to be your faithful servant, our soul suffers the tumult of ego and pride. We often please and glorify ourselves instead of you, our God and our King. Lord have mercy on us. In the name of Christ Jesus. Amen',
'O Lord, you are beautiful. You are mighty. You are the desire of our purest heart. We pray that your name will be on our lips throughout this day, and your justice the light on the path you lay before us. Keep our steps secure, Great Wisdom, and do not let us fall into the hands of wickedness. We lift our heart to you in praise for your love. In the name of Jesus, your presence among us. Amen',
'Heavenly Father, you are glorious and worthy of all praise. So magnificent is all of your creation. It is far too vast for us to even begin to understand or express in words. In your love and mercy, Gracious God, lead us on a right path so that when the time comes for us to enter your Kingdom we will be prepared to be in your presence. Guide us in your Holy purpose here on earth so that we can walk among all of the saints gathered at your throne in heaven throughout eternity. Grant us this prayer not because of our own worth, but in your mercy through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen',
'Help us strive to be content amid the rubble of life – to find your light in the dark valleys through which we must inevitably travel here on earth. Help us to carry your light into the darkness of the world. Plant our feet in the rich soil of your love so that our words and labor will bear the fruit of your Holy Spirit. We can dream of no greater purpose than to sow the seeds of faith, hope and love in the garden of your Heavenly Kingdom. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'In your love and peace we seek to view the world in a new way. Without the burden of responsibility for healing the world with our own power, the strength of your wisdom and power can rid our lives of the stress that often causes suffering and strife. Help us, Divine Healer, to increase our faith and relinquish our desire to control what rightfully belongs to you. Help us to give the gift of your love rather than to impose our will upon others. This we pray in the name of the Holy and Living Christ. Amen',
'Shine your light into the evil and darkness that sits so heavily on our world. Illuminate our hearts with the fire of your Holy Spirit. When crawling and bending down have weakened our bodies and discouraged our hearts, guide us through the caves and tunnels of despair. Lift us, O God, so that we can once again stand and sing praise to you and exalt your Holy name. In Christ Jesus. Amen',
'Open the eyes of our heart, Lord, that we may see you. Give life to the essential being that you have created within us to glorify your Holy name. Place your hand upon our heart, upon our eyes, and upon our lips. Let our whole being unite in the Holy purpose of serving you. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen',
'We give you thanks and praise, Holy One, because you do not abandon us even as we turn away and hide ourselves from your Divine Love. So powerful and steadfast is your love, and so great is your mercy. Help us to emulate your actions in our life. Help us to have the wisdom and desire to transform ourselves and others from the desolation of selfishness to the glorious gift of self-giving. Guide us, Heavenly Father, in thought, word and deed by the power of your infinite love. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'O Lord, grant that whatever learning we may have attained, and whatever gifts you have given will be used and directed toward glorifying the Kingdom to which you call us. Give us strength and courage to proclaim your truth with compassion and boldness. Do not hide our eyes from the miracle of your saving grace that can restore even the most wretched and disobedient of your children. Only you are perfect and Holy, and unconditionally gracious and merciful. Only you, Savior and Almighty God, are worthy to be praised. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'There is peace and solace for us to find in your presence, our God and King. The shouting of the world becomes silent with the sweet whisper of your voice. The darkness of sin fades in the light of your love. The fire of your Holy Spirit warms the cold and harsh illusions of this world. For these gifts, and for the abundance you have created, we give you thanks and praise. And we ask you, Blessed God, to enable us to serve your generosity with our whole life. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Blessed Lord, we seek your wisdom today. Teach us how to trust you more completely. Show us the place where challenge crosses over to bullying so that we do not raise resistance to your Word as we seek to increase discipleship in others and ourselves. A view of your Kingdom can inspire our heart to such an extent that we sometimes lose sight of the necessity of gentleness. Make us good and gentle shepherds, O God, and fill our heart with your love. In the name of the Prince of Peace, our Lord and our Shepherd, Jesus Christ. Amen',
'We are not worthy to sit among the great cloud of witnesses surrounding your Heavenly Throne, but we ask you to strengthen us, Holy One, so that we can speak as they would in this world of injustice. The relentless terror inflicted on the minds and hearts of your children threatens to gain absolute power in the incessant fear it creates. Give us peace, wisdom and courage to speak about forgiveness, your loving alternative, amid the clamor of human weapons, anger and revenge. Help us bear the scars of rejection and shame for your will. Help us to be certain that the urging in our heart and the voice in our ear is truly from you and not some egoistic rebellion against earthly authority. Give us a sign, dear Lord, affirming your truth in our heart. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'As we try with all of our heart to exhale the air of human arrogance, fill us with the wind of your Holy Spirit. Empty our mind and body of all false enlightenment so that there will be ample room for the beautiful light of your truth. We bow before you in respect, repentance and rejoicing because we know the depth and completeness of your mercy and loving-kindness. You are our God and Blessed Savior. Amen',
'You have created the universe. You have created each child. You have created a perfect blend of all things. Yet we refuse to be obedient to your perfect plan, precepts and commandments. As your servants, Lord God, help us to move closer to your Divine Will. Make us a servant of your peace, a disciple of your teaching, and an obedient child in your Kingdom. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'You inspire our heart, O God, and give more abundantly than we could ever think to ask. Whenever we come to you in prayer earnestly seeking your voice, you speak with a whisper of certainty that removes all doubt and renews our faith. We seek to serve you with steadfast love as you hear and answer our prayers. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Help us to make right decisions today, Wise and Merciful God, and to be gently firm while fulfilling the call you have placed in our heart. Teach us patience and guide us in the unknown paths where you send us to be obedient to your will. Let our speech and action reflect the fullness of your love and strength. Help us to be humble and certain in our role of servant. In the name of your most Holy Servant, Jesus Christ. Amen',
'To be holy, we need your hand constantly on our heart, in our soul, covering our eyes, and guiding our steps. Because we are human, we need and seek your benevolence each day. You forgive our past sins that witness against us, and your hand can protect us from the thoughts and deeds of this day that offend even ourselves at times. Heavenly Father, in your mercy, forgive us, cleanse us, lift us, and make us holy in your sight. In the blessed name of Jesus. Amen',
'Lord God, in your everlasting love you have lifted us and given us yet another opportunity to have real life while still here on earth. In your mercy you have ignited the fire of your Holy Spirit within us and given us a voice with which to praise your Holy name. Receive our thanksgiving, Holy One, and guide our every deed so that others will come to know about your desire to rescue them from the same darkness from which you lifted us. We live forever in gratitude and service to your Amazing Grace. Amen',
'Turn our eyes and our heart toward you, Lord. Make your perfect light so bright within us that no darkness in our soul can contaminate our desire for the perfection of your Kingdom here on earth. Let your Holy Spirit burn within us as we complete the task you give to us today. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Even if you had not restored our life so completely, Gracious and Loving God, we would give you thanks and praise. We would praise your Holy name for each day, for the food, for the shelter, for the pleasure of family, and for the love you have given us to share. And you have given us much, much more. You have given us faith so that we can see beyond the pain and suffering of the world. In faith, you have provided us a heart and mind that can perceive a faint understanding of the glory of your Kingdom; faint, yet enough to excite our imagination and sustain us as we work to share its beauty with others. With gratitude, we thank you, Almighty God, in the name and Spirit of Christ. Amen',
'As best we can, O Lord, we give our whole self to you. We turn to you for forgiveness and mercy because of all of the times and situations when we fail to be obedient to your call to love all of your creation as you have loved us. Thank you, Lord, for your generous love and grace that guides us on the path of righteousness that leads to eternal life. Your transforming power saves us from darkness into light, and from certain death to glorious life. All praise, glory, honor, and thanksgiving belong to you, Almighty God, in the name of Jesus. Amen',
'We will praise you in the sanctuary. We will praise you in the marketplace. We will praise you with our voices. We will praise you with all of our heart, soul, mind, body, and strength. So great are your works, Almighty God, and so abundant is your giving to those who love you. PRAISE! GLORY! THANKS! In the name of Jesus. ALLELUIA! Amen',
'Thank you, Gracious God, for your protection. You restore us after we fall and relieve our hearts from the pain and emptiness of false love. All joy and righteousness are gifts from you, the Essence of Love. We praise you and seek you through our worship, discipleship and servanthood. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'There is nothing that we desire more than to be with you each moment and with each breath of our life. And yet, in the imperfection of our human life, we become distracted and misled. Forgive us, Merciful God, and lead us to our place in your presence. We earnestly pray in the name of the One who came to show us how to be holy, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen',
'We praise you, Lord God, in the wilderness – especially in the wilderness. In the places of despair and in the valleys of darkness where we seek your light. And when you shine in our heart with the glowing brightness of your grace we will help to carry that light into the things that trouble and confound all human hearts. We will place our hand in your hand, and our faith in your faith so that we can be sure that the source and direction of the light will be certain and true. Only you can relieve and redeem us from the temptations of darkness. We give you thanks and praise in the name of Jesus, the light of our salvation. Amen',
'Thank you, God of Eternal Light, for being present in our heart to release us from the fear of things we cannot see or know. In your love, mercy and strength we have enough faith so that even if evil does come upon us, your presence in our heart will protect us and deliver us. You are our rock and our shield. Our spirit yields to your magnificence. In the name of Christ. Amen',
'All glory, praise and honor belong to you, Almighty God, now and forever. Amen',
'The wonderful power of your Word is sometimes too great for us to understand. At times, we are not able to endure the weight of meaning and we stumble and fall. We tire in some moments from exerting our own strength as we walk the path you lay before us. Come to help us, dear Lord, so that we can continue. Lift us up, carry us until our legs regain their strength and our feet begin to move in the right direction again. Cast away the demons of laziness, self-reliance and distraction that impede our devotion and muddle our mind. Give us the clarity of your love and the patience to persevere in the work you would have us do. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'In your grace and mercy, you look upon us even though we are not worthy. Help us to know and to do your will. Keep us from traveling down wrong paths. Help us to see your beautiful light ahead, behind, around, and within us. You are our God and King. We long to serve you in the name you took upon yourself to know the pain and depth and darkness of our human struggle. And through that blessed name, Jesus, you deliver us, a sinful people, with your justifying grace. Thank you, Blessed Lord. Amen',
'Cleanse our heart, O God, and make us ever new. Look into the depth of us and remove all impurity. Cleanse us in ways that we cannot cleanse ourselves. With the fire of your Holy Spirit, burn the chaff of our soul and make of us a vast field of golden wheat ready to be a source of nourishment for your people. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Empower our voice with your love and peace. Do not let us be fooled and tempted by the false call of anger and revenge motivated by greed and self-interest. Help us to desire most the coming of your Kingdom, and to be steadfast in our thought, word and deed for things of real value such as faith, hope and love. Always guide us toward the power and light of your truth. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'As we spend our time and energy in the concerns and duties of this world, help us to always give thanks and praise to your Holy name within our heart. We pray that our eyes, ears, mouth – indeed, our whole being – will be forever united with you as we help to build your Kingdom here on earth. You are the light in the darkest places of our sin, and you are in the brightest moments of our victories. Shining above all things of heaven and earth, your love sustains us and gives us hope, strength and direction. All praise, glory and honor to you, Almighty God, now and forever. Amen',
'We are glad to serve a God who is so loving, generous and forgiving. Our heart rejoices to just be in the presence of such magnificence. We bow so willingly to your splendor and kneel so humbly at your throne. Kyrie Eleison. Amen',
'Praise to you, God our Savior. You have called us from valleys in the wilderness. You have strengthened us along our journey of restoration. You have sustained us in our service to your Holy purpose. We continue to seek your face in our own reflection, and to see your light in the good works you enable us to perform in your name. Praise to you, God of our life and eternal home. In Christ Jesus. Amen',
'Shine the glorious light of salvation directly into the eyes of our heart. We long to see you, touch you, speak to you, listen to you, and be one with you. Cure any lameness of our soul, O God, so that our heart can run swiftly into your presence and our legs work tirelessly for your purpose. Clear our mind and empower our speech with your truth and wisdom. Help us to be bold in proclaiming your Word while being humble in our human heart. All for your glory, and forever by your grace. Amen',
'We are able to see and to serve because of your sustaining love, Gracious God. Thank you for the words and thoughts you provide for us to share with the people you draw near. We pray that our heart will always be humble, and that your Spirit will be ever present as we serve you in this world. Open the Holy Way for our feet, Heavenly Father, and place your Holy hand upon our shoulder. We come to you in the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen',
'Although the certainty of your love surrounds us, we still get lost in the sea of concerns belonging to this world. Help us to remain focused on the blessings you desire to give. Grant us the strength and wisdom to wage the right battles – the ones that lead to opening hearts and enlightening minds and saving souls for your Kingdom. Let our soul rejoice in doing your will, our Lord and King. Do not let us tire in waging Spiritual warfare on the powers of evil and fear. Help us defeat negativism, revenge and anger in the hearts of your children so that the Body of Christ can thrive in peace and love inspired by your Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'You are our strength and our hope. You provide the light that opens our heart and rids our soul of all darkness. Aside from you there is no goodness that calls us. Without your voice we hear no love in the world. Preserve our life for your purpose, Holy One. Guide our feet and use our hands. Speak with our voice and comfort the world through our work. Make your will known through the actions we take today. In the name of Jesus, Lord and light of our heart. Amen',
'God of our heart, you are the Alpha and the Omega of all things, of all creation, of all joy and sorrow. We give you thanks and praise, Mighty and Merciful God, for the hand you place on our shoulder as we serve you with a genuine heart. We are grateful for the light you shine on our path and the strength you put in our heart. Forgive us for the times when we have faltered and failed to be the obedient servant we desire to be. Rescue us from wrongful decisions born within our lesser self. Help us to remain steadfast in our faith, more helpful to others through our devotion to your Holy purpose, and more loving to all of your creation. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen',

'Inspire the words of our mouth with the fire of your Holy Spirit so that the world will see and know the awesome beauty of your truth, Blessed Lord, Creator of the Universe. Amen',
'We are sheep in your pasture, Lord God; bleating sheep that need your love and guiding hand. Help us to be obedient today and willing to follow your kind and gentle voice in a world of shouts, and clanging, and boisterous noise. Amid this cacophony of human confusion, we praise your Holy name and ask you to give us your peace and fill us with your love. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Praise to God for all of His abundance and grace that has been showered on all who love and obey His Word. On this day, O God, let us stand with those who hunger and thirst for more of your presence. On this day, O God, we desire to serve your Holy purpose. In the name of the Living Christ. Amen',

Amen',

You healed the faithful and gave strength and hope to those who were rejected by the power of the world. You comforted and consoled the lonely and the broken hearted. When you ascended into heaven, you promised to be with us always – among the meek, humble, poor, faithful, those seeking strength and hope, those who are rejected and broken hearted, those who seek comfort and consolation. We pray to be among these people, Lord Jesus, so that you will be among us. Amen',

'In the beautiful place where you sit on the Heavenly throne, Gracious God, there is peace and harmony. Let us rest in the shadow of your grace. Let us hear the song of the angels, and let us join in their unending hymn – “Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of power and might.” Let your love surround us, in the name of Christ. Amen',
'God above all heaven and earth; God who created the universe; God of power and might; God with mercy and compassion; hear our prayer. Forgive the wandering of our hearts and the weakness of our flesh. Lift us from the darkness of the world with the light of your grace. Send your Holy Spirit among us in this hour as we sing, pray, and worship in the name of Jesus. Amen',
'From the depth of every valley, our God lifts us. From the fear of every darkness, our God shines light. From the midst of every trial and tribulation, our God protects us. Thank you God, for loving us beyond measure, being with us beyond time, and knowing us beyond our ability to understand. In the name of Christ Jesus. Amen',
'Thank you, Gracious God, for loving us. Thank you for giving us food, and shelter, and friends, and family. Thank you for listening to our hearts, healing our wounds, and carrying all of our burdens. Help us now to share your love, heal each other, and invite the world into your awesome presence. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'The Advent season is a time of anticipation. It is a time of tension in which we hunger for immediate gratification while God asks us to wait. Perhaps God waits until our heart is sure, and our desire and excitement sufficient enough to truly open our heart. Let us experience this waiting with peace, Lord, and your patience as our own. In the name of Jesus, Amen.',
'We give you thanks and praise, Merciful and Forgiving God, for guiding us to this hour of prayer. We give you thanks and praise because you have sheltered us in many storms, and comforted us in many troubled times. Make your light shine within us so that we can be your beacon of love, hope and peace for others to find. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'God of all Creation, your infinite love can be seen in every flower, every star, every cloud, and every moment. There is no end to the things for which we give you thanks and praise. Be with us now, and look into our hearts. Remove all obstacles that prevent us from sharing the Holy Spirit you have sent to be with us today. We ask this in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen',
'Gracious and loving God, you have called each one of us to be in this place. Help us to open our hearts to receive your love. Help us to open our minds to receive your Word. And help us to open our doors to receive each saint, in this world and in the world to come. In the name of Jesus. Amen',
'Thank you Lord, for loving us enough to give us freedom. Thank you for loving us enough to give us dominion over all of the earth. Thank you for loving us enough to give us a heart, mind and soul to love you, and our neighbor, as ourselves. Most of all, thank you for giving us the gift of Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen',
'Loving and gracious God, we stand in awe of your beauty, and lift our hands and voices in praise of your name. The lights in the heavens appear dim in the glow of your love. May our rejoicing be pleasing to your ears as you continue to shower blessings, grace, and mercy upon us. In the name of Jesus, we thank you Lord. Amen.',
'Giver of Life and Steadfast Love, we give you thanks and praise for the gift of faithfulness that you have put in our heart - the faithfulness that gives us peace because it assures us that you know us. After any darkness, morning comes into our heart through your gift of faith. Thank you, Lord, in the name of Jesus. Amen.',
'You have given us an extra day this year to celebrate your love. Thank you, O God, for every day you give as a gift of life. Help us to walk each day as your servant, and guide us in every path with your light. In the name of Jesus. Amen'
